W. EVERETT WINN

 

     W. Everett Winn, age 83, of Interlachen, died Friday June 18, 2010 at Haven Hospice Roberts Care Center.  He was a native of Daytona Beach and lived in Interlachen 21      years, coming from Lake City.  He retired after 34 years as assistant manager with Southern Bell working in Volusia and Columbia Counties and was a member of the Telephone Pioneers.  He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II and loved to hunt and fish. 

     He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Lorene Winn of Interlachen; son, William “Dennis” Winn & wife, Marji of Pennsylvania; brother, J. Floyd Winn & wife, Pat of Daytona Beach; grandchildren, Rachel Winn of California and Christopher Winn & wife, Paige of Minnesota along with several nieces and nephews. 

     Graveside services will be held 11:00 A.M. Wednesday June 23rd at Volusia Memorial Park in Ormond Beach. Memorial donations can be made to: Haven Hospice Roberts Care Center, 6400 St. Johns Avenue, Palatka, Florida, 32177.

Sorry to hear about your loss, if there is anything I can do for you, let me know. Dennis, I can remember going to ichetucknee springs as a kid and then going to your parents house, they were always so nice, I remember the homemade icecream.
