ROBERT   G. “BOB”  HANNA 

   Robert Gene Hanna, 77, of Interlachen, passed away Tuesday, January 12, 2010 at Shands at Starke.   A native of Mytle, Missouri, Robert resided in Interlachen since 1980 coming from Dania, Florida.  Bob was a U.S. Marine Corp veteran of the Korean War.  He had worked as truck driver with Commercial Carrier and later hauled rock and sand.  He was also a farmer and was known to many in the Mannville area as the “chicken man and “goat man”.   He also operated the pony ride and petting zoo on Highway 20 in Mannville.  He was a former member of the Eagles and VFW.

    He is survived by his wife, Donna Hanna of Interlachen, a son, Jonathan David Hanna of Mesa, AZ, 2 daughters, Julanna Midkiff of Coconut Creek, FL and Robin Hanna of Craryville, NY, a sister, Dorothy Randall of Quincy, IL, 5 grandchildren, Michael Midkiff, Alicia Midkiff, Brian Midkiff, Tara Belcher and Jason Belcher, 3 great-grandchildren, Alina Fauly, Ashton Midkiff and Jovanna Hildaulgo.  He will also be missed by his 2 dogs, Sonny and Scrappy.

     The family will receive friends Thursday at Johnson-Overturf Funeral Home in Interlachen from 6-7:00 P.M. at which time a period of remembrance and sharing will begin.  Graveside military services and burial will be Friday at 11:30 A.M. at the Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell.
