RONALD E. “RONNIE” WAYNE Ronald Edward “Ronnie” Wayne, 62, of East Palatka, passed away, Friday, January 8, 2010 at Flagler Hospital in St. Augustine following an extended illness. A native of Tifton, Georgia, Ronnie lived in Putnam County since 1980 coming from Valdosta, Georgia. He worked 30 years with Norfolk and Southern Railway as a trainman and conductor. Ronnie loved fishing and was an avid Nascar Fan. He was preceded in death by his parents, Edward John Wayne and Sallie Belflower Wayne and a brother-in-law, Wesley C. Johnson. He is survived by his wife of 29 years,
Anna Marie Moody Wayne, 2 sons, Ronald E. Services will be at 4:00 P.M. Tuesday, January 12, 2010 at St. Paul’s Episcopal Church in Federal Point with Father Aaron Uitti officiating. Burial will follow at St. Paul’s Cemetery in Federal Point. The family will receive friends on Monday from 5-7 P.M. at Johnson-Overturf Funeral Home in Palatka. Flowers are gratefully accepted or memorial donations may be made to St. Paul’s Episcopal Church, P.O. Box 6, Hastings, FL 32145 or Autism Awareness, 5455 Wilshire Blvd., Suite 2250, Los Angeles, CA 90036, or on their website AutismSpeaks.org or to the Cell Phones for Soldiers Project. Old cell phones may be brought to the service or dropped off at Johnson-Overturf Funeral Home. |
