HELEN RABERN BAKER 

            Helen Rabern Baker, age 79 of Interlachen, passed away, Friday, January 08, 2010 at Putnam Community Medical Center following an extended illness.  She was a native of Atlanta, GA and had lived in Interlachen since 1988 coming from San Bernardino, CA.  She was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles Ladies Auxiliary # 3822 in Hollister.  She loved to travel and was of the Baptist faith.

            She is survived by her husband of 22 years, Jesse L. Baker, a son, Gary Peterson and wife, Rowena of Auburn, Washington, 3 daughters, Barbara Layland and husband, Ken of Van Nuys, CA, Vickie Clifford and husband, Jim of Jackson, CA, Cristena Carte and husband, Larry of Napa, CA, 11 grandchildren, Brian Peterson, Jeremy Peterson, Jerry Wood, Karl Wood, Karen Wood, Jonathan Wood, Ashley Clifford, Brittney Clifford, Courtney Clifford, Angela Carte, Ryan Carte, 3 great-grandchildren, Sara Wood, Jordyn Wood and Tyler Wood.

            Funeral services will be 11:00 AM, Monday, January 11, 2010 at Johnson-Overturf Funeral Home in Interlachen with Pastor Doug Knight officiating.   Burial will follow at 2:00 PM at the Jacksonville National Cemetery.  Visitation will be one hour prior to the start of the service.
