MAUREEN INGRAM 

 Maureen Ingram, age 74 of Palatka, passed away Wednesday, January 6, 2010 at Putnam Community Medical Center.  She was a native of Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada, and had resided in Putnam County since 1960 coming from Albany, GA.  She had worked 35 years in the insurance department at Georgia Pacific, retiring in 1996.  She was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church, where she served as the piano/organist and music director for many years.  She had been a member of the Woman’s Club of Palatka and had been a volunteer at Kelly Smith Elementary School.  Maureen enjoyed gardening, feeding stray animals and especially enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren. 

            She was preceded in death by her husband, Clarence E. Ingram, Sr., a son, Clarence E. “Eddie” Ingram, Jr. and a sister, Beverly Harrison. 

She is survived by a son, Richard Ingram of East Palatka, 2 daughters, Lisa Burnett and husband, John of Interlachen and Leanne Charles and husband, Michael of Jacksonville, a daughter-in-law, Jane Ingram of Hastings, a brother, Jack Thorgeirson and wife, Faith of Masset, British Columbia, 6 grandchildren, Marisa Ingram, Alexis Richardson, Jacob Ingram, Jill Burnett, Erica Charles and Nicholas Charles and 1 great-grandchild, Cayden Annis. 

            Services will be 2PM, Saturday, January 9, 2010 at Trinity United Methodist Church with Reverend Gene Maddox officiating.  Burial will follow at Palatka Memorial Gardens.  Visitation will be Friday, January 8th from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM at Johnson-Overturf Funeral Home in Palatka.

            Flowers are gratefully accepted or the family requests memorial donations be made to the Putnam County Humane Society, 112 Norma Street, Hollister, Florida 32147 or the Theatre Department at Palatka High School, 302 Melon Road, Palatka, Florida 32177.
