ROSEMARY B. BLAKE Rosemary B. Blake, age 83 of St. Augustine, passed away, Friday, December 18, 2009 at Ponce de Leon Care Center in St. Augustine following a brief illness. She was a native of Palatka and had lived in St. Augustine since 1999 coming from Palatka. She was a member of Ancient City Baptist Church in St. Augustine and a long-time member of First Baptist Church of Palatka. Mrs. Blake had worked 25 years for Clay Electric Cooperative as an Office Coordinator in Palatka. She loved her family and enjoyed reading. She is survived by her husband of 62 years, William R. “Bob” Blake, Sr, 2 sons, William R. Blake, Jr. and wife, Carolyn of St. Augustine, John F. Blake and wife, Karen of Roanoke, Virginia, a daughter, Janene Blake Wagner of Reading, Pennsylvania and 2 grandchildren, Kelly Blake and Blake Wagner. Funeral services will be 3:00 PM, Monday, December 21, 2009 at Johnson-Overturf Funeral Home with Reverend Charles T. Rabun, Jr. officiating. Burial will follow at Palatka Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the start of the service on Monday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers the family requests that memorial donations be made in her memory to Ancient City Baptist Church, 27 Sevilla St., St. Augustine, Florida, 32084. |
