ALICE M. BURBANK

     Alice M. Burbank, age 70, of Satsuma, died suddenly Monday, December 14, 2009 at Putnam Community Medical Center.  She was a native of Stark, New Hampshire and had lived in Satsuma for the past 6 years, coming from Charlestown, New Hampshire.  She was of the Catholic faith and worked as a nurse for many years.  She was a member of Moose Lodge #1641 in Crescent City and Hermits Cove Club in Satsuma.  She loved fishing and sewing and enjoyed crocheting, knitting and general crafts.  She preceded her sister who died on the same day, Marge Oguawomoju.   

     She is survived by her husband of 22 years, Bernie Burbank of Satsuma; children, Eva Ryan of Chester, Vermont, Victoria Start of Claremont, N.H., Richard Ryan of Southington, Connecticut, Katherine Karleskint  and Karen Soohoo, both of Charlestown, N.H., and Adam Burbank of Sharon, Vermont; brother, Edward Hand of Medway, Mass.; sisters, Kathleen Gales and Joyce Hand, both of Woonsocket, Rhode Island, Marelyn Parker of Fairborn, Ohio and Gale Mueller of Talladega, Alabama; sister-in-law, Patricia Hand of Bellingham, Mass.; 17 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild.

     Funeral services will be held 3:00 P.M. Friday December 18th at the Johnson-Overturf Funeral Home in Palatka with The Rev. James M. Dorn, III, Rector officiating.  Memorial donations can be made to: The Putnam County Humane Society, 112 Norma Street, Hollister, Florida, 32147.  Friends may call Friday from 2:00 – 3:00 P.M. at the Johnson-Overturf Funeral Home in Palatka.
