Linda R. Johnson

Linda Reel Johnson, age 61, of Palatka, died Friday, Nov. 13, 2009, at Kiva of Palatka Assisted Living. She was a native of Sanford and a lifelong resident of Palatka. She had retired after 39 years as a scheduler of the Kraft paper machine at Georgia-Pacific and was a member and past president of the Office Workers Union at Georgia Pacific.

She is survived by a son, Robbie Johnson; a daughter, Katie Barnard & husband, Josh, all of Palatka; brother, Richard Reel & wife, Thelma of Apopka; sisters, Nancy Spurles & husband, Harold and Patty Varnes, all of Palatka; a grandchild, Bryce Barnard of Palatka; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Monday, Nov. 16, at the Johnson-Overturf Funeral Home in Palatka. Private family burial will follow in Oak Hill West Cemetery. Friends may call Sunday from 3-5 p.m. at the Johnson-Overturf Funeral Home in Palatka.177.
