When I first moved onto Laurel Street, Mrs. Byrd was the first lady I met.  She lived two doors down from me.  I remember seeing her walking every morning and always having a smile and a hello for me.  She was a wonderful little lady .. I always wondered where she moved to.  My sympathy and prayers go out to her family and friends.  I'm certain she will be greatly missed but she is at peace now and her memory will live on and on.

Mr. Byrd was an awesome educator and one who made a tremendous impact on me.Her love of science was evident in her every class and she commanded the very best efforts to be put forth by her students. She was a dynamite of a little lady and one who had my respect and admiration. May she rest in peace, knowing she served us ever so well.  PDKelly, Retired Health Educator, Palatka, Fl

Edna was one of my Mom's bast teaching friends. Our family knew her and her husband for many years. She encouraged me to become a nurse(which I did) and I never regretted it. She was a wonderful lady, and will be missed.

What a dear lady and friend Mrs. Byrd was. My Dad had known Mr. & Mrs. Byrd from the late 1950's when he installed the air conditioning system in the house they built on Laurel St. I met her when I started the 9th grade at Palatka Central High School and she was my science teacher. My dad and I did all of their air conditioning work while they were here. Mr. Byrd always kept his stuff in tip top shape. He would replace his air conditioner every 4 years or so because he said it was time. After Mr. Byrd passed away, Mrs. Byrd would by our office to visit and would often tell me how much I reminded her of Tot. She missed him so. We were saddened to hear of her passing but I'm glad they are now reunited. I will miss her.
God Bless You,
Casey
