ANNE BUCHNER Anne Buchner, age 56, of Hawthorne, died Monday August 24, 2009 at her home after an extended illness. The Lake City native had lived in Hawthorne since 1982, coming from Branford and High Springs, Florida. She was a non-denominational Christian and a homemaker. She was very family oriented and loved being a mom and a grandmother. She was preceded in death by her father, Lewis Edward Douglas and a sister, Thelma Grace Douglas. She is survived by her husband of 40 years, Timothy David Buchner; daughter, Laura Cheral Moody, both of Hawthorne; mother, Geneva Vernice Douglas of High Springs; 4 sisters, Mary Douglas English of High Springs, Rebecca Elizabeth Douglas, Wanda Kirby and Wendy Gail Douglas, all of Live Oak; 2 brothers, Edward Allen Douglas of High Springs and Joseph Lewis Douglas of Gainesville; 4 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren. Memorial services will be held 2:00 P.M. Saturday August 29th at the Johnson-Overturf Funeral Home in Interlachen with Rev. Charles McSweeney officiating. In celebration of her life, a memorial video will be shown.
