FRANCIS “FRANK” STONE Francis I. “Frank” Stone, age 86, of San Mateo, died Wednesday July 15, 2009 at his home after an extended illness. He was a native of Putney, Vermont and lived in Florida since 1974. He was a Master Sergeant in the U.S. Army, serving from 1940 – 1945 and served in the U.S. Air Force starting in 1945 and retiring in 1974. He was a veteran of World War II, the Korean War and the Vietnam War. He was a member of V.F.W. Post 3349, American Legion Bert Hodge Post #45 and the Vietnam Veterans of Putnam County. He was also a member of the Air Force Sergeants Association and Moose Lodge # 184 in Palatka. He was preceded in death by his wife, Ora Stone. Memorial services will be held 4:00 P.M. Tuesday July 28th at Moose Lodge # 184 in Palatka. |
