AUBREY LAYTON BROWN Aubrey Layton Brown, age 44, of Crescent City, died Friday July 3, 2009 from injuries received in an automobile accident. He was a native of Wetumpka, Alabama and had lived in Crescent City since 1996, coming from Jacksonville, where he lived for several years. He attended the First Baptist Church in Pomona Park. He was an internet buff, enjoyed woodworking and he loved Pit Bulldogs. He was preceded in death by his father, Aubrey N. Brown and his grandmother, Ada V. Gurr. He is survived by his mother, Marlene Holmes of Crescent City; 2 brothers, Carl Brown of Satsuma and Justin Andrews of Crescent City; 2 aunts, Norma Bond of Old Hickory, Tennessee and Elaine Cox of Jacksonville; 2 uncles, Shelton Sheely of Bostwick and L.E. Sheely of Middleburg, along with several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held 11:00 A.M. Wednesday July 8th at the Johnson-Overturf Funeral Home in Palatka with Pastor Gary Munson officiating. Calling hours were held Tuesday from 5:00 – 7:00 P.M. at the Johnson-Overturf Funeral Home in Palatka.
