ANGELA ELLEN BRITTON
Angela Ellen Britton, age 77, of East
Palatka, died Friday June 19, 2009 at Haven Hospice Roberts Care
Center after a long illness. She was a native of Beckley, West
Virginia and had lived in East Palatka since 1967, coming from Cocoa
and Orlando. She was a member of College Road Church of Christ in
Palatka and was a homemaker. She retired after working many years
from several area doctors and from the ER Department at the
hospital. She was preceded in death by her mother and father, Velva
L. French and Azel F. French and by a brother, Azel F. French, Jr.
She is survived by her husband of 43
years, James E. Britton; son, Timothy A. Thomas & wife, Dena;
daughter, Tammy B. Vincent, all of East Palatka; brother, David R.
French & wife, Merce, of Lake Worth; 3 grandchildren, Ellen Andera &
husband, Aaron of East Palatka, Joshua L. Cooper of Jacksonville,
North Carolina, and Kimberly G. Schreffler of East Palatka; niece,
Tabitha S. Leonard & husband, Eric of Lake Worth; nephew, Joshua D.
French of Naples and 1 grand nephew and 2 grand nieces.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 A.M. Wednesday June 24th
at the Johnson-Overturf Funeral Home in Palatka with Bro. C. L.
Overturf, Jr. officiating. Burial will follow in Palatka Memorial
Gardens. Calling hours will be held Tuesday from 6:00 – 8:00 P.M.
at the Johnson-Overturf Funeral Home in Palatka. |
