Lillie M. Shrowder

Lillie Mae Shrowder, 79, of Interlachen and formerly of Satsuma, passed away Sunday, June 14, 2009, at Putnam Community Medical Center following a brief illness.

She was a native of Douglas, Ga., and resided in Putnam County since 1957 coming from Douglas. She was a homemaker and a member of the Interlachen Church of God. While residing in Satsuma, she was a member of the San Mateo Church of God. Mrs. Shrowder enjoyed fishing, gardening and cooking.

She is survived by her husband of 61 years, Jesse Shrowder; two sons, Frank Shrowder and wife Sharon, and Larry Shrowder and wife Peggy all of Hollister; two daughters, Patsy Goss and husband Roger of Madison, Ga., and Margaret McElhenie and husband Mac of Interlachen; two brothers, Roy Trowell and wife Betty, and James Trowell and wife Joann, all of Lake Butler; two sisters, Maggie Keen and husband Kenny of Lake City and Sue West and husband Stanley of Lake Butler; 10 grandchildren and 32 great-grandchildren.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday, June 18, at the San Mateo Church of God with pastors Richard Sapp, Clarence Fink and Darrell Conley officiating. Burial will follow at Hollister Cemetery. Visitation will be Wednesday from 5-7 p.m. at the funeral home.
