HENRY A. “HANK” SORENSEN 

   Henry Andrew “Hank” Sorensen, age 64, of Interlachen, passed away at his home, Thursday, May 21, 2009.  He had been a quadriplegic for the last 4 ˝ years due to a construction accident on February 2, 2005. A native of Spokane, Washington, Hank had lived in Interlachen for the past 6 years coming from Crescent, GA.  He graduated high school in his home town of Ellensburg, Washington. He was a U.S. Navy veteran, serving 9 years as a Hospital Corpsman and 3 tours in Vietnam.  He enjoyed fishing, hunting, woodworking and dearly loved his children and grandchildren.  Hank attended Florahome United Methodist Church.

Hank is survived by his loving wife, Iris Sorensen, who he married on March 29, 1968, son, Coy Henry “Lil Hank” Sorensen, daughter, Angela Denille Sorensen, step-daughter, Anyse Medwedeff, sister, Christine Rosbach, grandchildren, Sarah Lindsey Sorensen, Brandt A. Schwartz, Cole Henry Sorensen, Andrew Martin Sorensen, Kathryn Ellen Sorensen and many nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family members.

Graveside services will be 3:00 PM, Today, Saturday, May 23, 2009 at Oak Grove Cemetery in Macclenny with Pastor Louis Tremblay officiating.
