LONIE V. HEBERT 

   Lonie V. Hebert, age 97, of Peniel, passed away, Saturday, May 16, 2009 at Putnam Community Medical Center following a brief illness.  She was a native of Peniel and had been a lifelong resident of Putnam County.  Mrs. Hebert was a member of St. Mark’s Episcopal Church, where she had served as President of the St. Catherine Guild.  She was also a 50+ year member of the Order of Eastern Star Chapter #33 and a volunteer at Putnam Memorial Nursing Home.   She was preceded in death by her parents, Archie and Mellie Moody, her husband, Lenis J. Hebert, Sr., grandsons, Michael Brisbin and John Hebert, sisters, Emily Gunter and Mildred Waldon and brothers, Sam Moody and Perry Moody.

She is survived by a son, Lenis J. Hebert, Jr. and his wife, Alice of Palatka, 2 daughters, Loretta Anders and husband, John of Sun City, CA and Juanita Brisbin and husband, Jerry of Palatka, 8, grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren, 3 great-great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews

Services will be at 11:00 A.M. Thursday, May 21, 2009 at St. Mark’s Episcopal Church in Palatka with The Reverend James M. Dorn, III, Rector officiating.  Burial will follow at Palatka Memorial Gardens.  Visitation will be Wednesday from 6-8 P.M. at Johnson-Overturf Funeral Home in Palatka.

Flowers are gratefully accepted or memorial donations may be made in her memory to St. Mark’s Episcopal Church, P.O. Box 370, Palatka, FL  32178.
