WILLIAM R. “SMOOTH” WARREN William R. “Smooth” Warren, age 58 of Keystone Heights, passed away, Sunday, May 3, 2009 at Haven Hospice Roberts Care Center in Palatka. He was a native of Houston, TX and resided in Keystone Heights for the past 4 years moving there from Interlachen, where he resided for 5 years. He had worked as a millwright with Carpenter’s Union # 2411. He was a member of Moose Lodge # 184 in Palatka and enjoyed building and riding his Harley motorcycle. He is survived by his wife of 11 years, Carolyn Warren, his mother, Delores Warren of Jacksonville, 4 daughters, Cassie Warren of Keystone Heights, Chelsea Shoemaker of Kentucky, Bobbie Jo Dudley of Waldo, and Bonnie Ferguson of The Colony, TX, 2 step-sons, Chris VanKampen of Keystone Heights and David VanKampen, Jr. of Melrose, 2 brothers, Thomas Lee Warren and Barry Warren both of Jacksonville, 2 sisters, Marilyn Starratt of Jacksonville and Susan Warren of Magnolia, TX and 10 grandchildren. Memorial services will be 1:30 PM, Saturday, May 9, 2009 at Francis Baptist Church, 155 CR 309 C, Palatka, FL 32177 with Brother Dale Rogers officiating. No public visitation is scheduled.
