BENJAMIN F. “BENNY” DUNTON 

Benjamin Franklin “Benny” Dunton, age 91 of Welaka, passed away, Friday, March 27, 2009 at home following an extended illness.  A native of Lisco, Nebraska, he had resided in Putnam County since 2006 coming from St. Augustine.  He had worked as an automobile mechanic.  Benny was a member of the St. Augustine Church of Christ. 

            He is survived by his wife, Christine C. Dunton of Welaka, a son, Michael Dunton of Hico, TX, 3 daughters, Benetta Russell of Welaka, Patricia Martin of Crescent City and Charlene Dunton of St. Augustine, numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchild. 

            Private family services will be held at a later date.
