ABBIE SIKES Abbie Marie Sikes, age 95 of Johnson, passed away, Monday, March 23, 2009 at Haven Hospice E. T. York Care Center in Gainesville following an extended illness. She was a life long resident of Putnam County. Abbie had been the oldest living charter member of Woodlawn Baptist Church in Johnson. She is survived by one son, Wayne Sikes and wife, Barbara of Liberty, UT, a niece, Mildred Shirley and husband, Bob, 4 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be 3:00 PM, Sunday, March 29, 2009 at Johnson-Overturf Funeral Home in Palatka with Brother Charles Litzell officiating. The family will receive friends from 2:00 PM on Sunday until start of the service at 3:00 PM. Burial will be 11:00 AM, Monday, March 30, 2009 at Peniel Cemetery.
