RICKY BLACK Warren R. “Ricky” Black, 38, of Palatka, passed away Friday, February 20, 2009 in Glen St. Mary, FL. A native of Palatka, he grew up and lived most of his life in Palatka. A flooring installer by trade, Ricky worked locally with Palatka Flooring and Badcock Home Furnishings. As his hobbies, Ricky enjoyed dirt bike riding, animals of all kinds (especially horses), fishing and spending time with his family. He is survived by his wife, Fanny Black, a daughter, Nicole Black of Orlando, his father and step-mother, George and Laura Black of Palatka, his mother and step-father, Trudy and David Ducker of Sylva, NC, his grandfather, Fritz Janzen of Hendersonville, N.C., his step-children, Alan R. Allen, III of Virginia Bch, VA, David Wilkinson and April Wilkinson, both of Palatka, a brother, Jason Black and his wife Becky of Hollister, a step-brother, Patrick Ducker of Sylva, NC, step-sisters, Sarah Ducker and Jennifer Wayte, 2 step-grandchildren, Landon Frady and McKenzie Frady, several aunts and uncles and numerous nieces and nephews. Services will be 2:00 P.M. Thursday, February 26, 2009 at Johnson-Overturf Funeral Home in Palatka with Bro. Harry Varnadoe officiating. |
